The circular current of the Turbelle® and the washing of the waves produced by the Wavebox superimpose each other and result in a strongly pulsating circular current for reef top biotopes, for example.Wave simulation by setting the two pump outputs to maximum and minimum values as well as the pulse time.Wavecontroller 7092 fitted with a membrane terminal is a control unit to be used on all Turbelle® pumps with electronic motor, and can synchronously or alternately control:.Emission of vibrations to the glass pane is avoided by the attached silicone buffers of the Wavebox. The embedded Magnet Holder allows the simple mounting of the Wavebox everywhere inside aquariums with glass panes up to a thickness of 19 mm. Comline® Wavebox 6214 is operating with a Turbelle® stream and a Turbelle® controller. The compact sizeallows discrete mounting in the corner of the aquarium. The TUNZE® Comline® Wavebox 6214 is a wave generator for aquariums from 400 to 1,400 liters, depending on the type of the aquarium and on the decoration. With the use of the 7092 controller finding the correct frequency is very easy and only takes a few minutes to install completely. Reefs in the ocean have oscillating currents which help whisk away nutrients from your tank, including between rocks, behind rocks and even the corners. With a very small amount of power you can generate a standing wave in your tank with the use of a Tunze Wavebox. A wavebox works of the exact same concept by oscillating the displacement of water in your tank. It is very hard for traditional powerheads to create a wave, as waves are created by displacement. the reason you probably dont hear much about the wavebox on is because there not as popular but i guarentee some of them break or just dont work and need to be returned as well.Almost everyone at some point will try to make a standing wave in their tank. but from people who have owned vortechs id say at least 90% of them are perfectly happy they bought it and while u do hear a few minor issues with vortechs the company is more than happy to fix them. but hey its its not our tanks so get what u will like the best. and theres other modes the vortechs have that you could never do with a wavebox. It utilizes a custom pump that is essentially a hybrid of the 61, pump 6215.200, designed to maximize the wave effect while reducing noise created from rapid on and off cycling. ![]() while the wave is cool from what ive seen from personal experiments with all the modes on an vortech is that the corals get much much better PE on Reefcrest mode which is a random ramp up and ramp down mode. The 6214 replaced its predecessors 62 and is suitable for aquariums up to 370 gallons. if you used an mp40 for a wave maker the same would apply. 2 mp40s is better but even Bart uses powerheads on the other side with his wavebox. i promise you 1 mp40 will do everything that the wavebox will do for cheaper and smaller. While i do agree on the noise a vortech makes in pulse mode i still say get an mp40. ![]()
