Noticing that my money's where not returned in full. I Didn't receive my money's back until end of Feb 2013, and in a part payment,of which I never part paid to them. Tee Trinder, said to me that my money's would be returned and I respected his word, when he was trying to get me to take on the course. Unfortunately ,This is not the case with these people. That should be returned within at least a month of doing that!. This is to Let everyone know that when you Book a course (THERE IS by LAW 5 DAY Cooling OFF period) & if by chance you change your mind, after giving a Deposite for any course, that they" HAVE TO by LAW" return all full money's that you Deposited into there account. Please learn from my mistake! Go to Open Universities instead. Lesson learnt, and i will do more research from now on before signing anything. So BEWARE, They will do anything to take your money for a crappy USELESS course that you could do elsewhere for 1/4 of the price! THE 7 DAY COOLING OFF PERIOS IS USELESS WHEN THEY WONT GET BACK TO YOU DURING THAT PERIOD WHICH MAKES IT IMPOSSIBLE TO CANCEL! I couldn't get through to anyone on the student support number after 2 days, my emails got no replies and i am still currently dealing with the issue. a 10 year old could have answered the questions, the course was a joke.Īfter feeling skeptical i checked out the Open Colleges website again and just realised that the course was NOT ACCREDITED! So feeling ripped off i decided to cancel the course as i was still in my 7 day cooling off period. I signed up and began, i finished 7 assignments in just 2 days, i felt like i was in primary school. I spoke to the main course advisor who gave me incorrect information which led to me trusting that this was the right course for me. I am in the process of 'trying' to get my money back from Open colleges Australia. “OPEN COLLEGES ARE TERRIBLE, DO NOT WASTE YOUR MONEY!! ” $2300 down the toilet :-( I hadn't cried in a while, but this made the tears flow!ĭon't enrol, go through a provider where you can do the workload in a class. My Prac wasn't even assessed by Open Colleges as the assessor failed to contact the gym and hence I received no RPL and no feedback at all as they won't contact me. The practical experience has a 30 page assessment of scenarios that no gym would ever or rarely experience (according to several workplaces I researched) and from assessing the workload it is actually more than a Cert III and IV combined and you're only receiving a Cert III. Having said that I did miss the government cut off point, so it's partly my fault. When working 12 hour shifts for six days I required quite a few extensions and yes I did receive them at a cost but once I got to the last four paragraphs of my final assessment I was failed for the course last week. Initially they were great, they answered emails and had great customer service.Īfter working through the book I noticed that assessments were up to 40 pages in length and the questions were convoluted and non-sensical. “Don't do it! Go to another provider like TAFE!”
