![]() ![]() Their communication has been scant and often contradictory which is leading many down the wrong path, yourself included. The root of all this confusion and all these issues is Google themselves. ![]() Not intentionally mind, I think people are trying to help eachother and be helpful but we're all just stabbing in the dark really trying to work out what's going on and the best way to progress with keeping our free accounts. I think there's a lot of confusion and miscommunication going on in this subreddit. Nor do they get support tickets processed. As personal use free/no-cost tiers do not get access to the official Workspace support chat. If you need actual *intervention* from Google/Workspace though, help on their end to get across any unexpected issues, you gotta sign up to a paid Workspace plan. They're quick to respond and will take it to DMs and guide you if neccessary. It's their support'y twitter, it's not just some press agent account. Immediately - not next day, not later that evening. You need to do this *straight away* after upgrading to Workspace Business Starter. If you sign up for Business Starter on your own accord, you gotta go to the "Upgrade from G Suite legacy free edition" support page and click the big blue "I used this account for personal use" button, then you'll be sent to the Billing < Subscriptions page and asked to verify its for personal use. If you did *not* opt out in time and still do nothing Google will eventually get to your account (if they haven't already, they started migrations june 28th) and force that transition "for you", then supposedly you have 30 or 35 days to verify that you're using it for personal use and want the free version of Workspace Business Starter. If your account at some later point should convert to Workspace Business Starter if they nix the last backend remnants of Gsuite, your "subscription" will automatically be the free no-cost version. You don't need to do anything more you opted out of the transition stuff. If you *did* opt out before June 27th, that's it. The forced transition is for those who *did NOT* opt out in time, and don't go Workspace Business Starter then convert that to free version, on their own accord. ![]()
